April 12, 2024
The 11th annual ISA-SAIT Student Games, the largest student-led industrial automation competition in the world, took place March 13 - 16, 2024...
Always a huge success with thanks to Mark Tarrant, ISA-SAIT Student Section Advisor, his colleagues at SAIT, the ISA-SAIT Student Section Members, and our ISA Calgary Section Board... this year's event boasted 13 teams, 52 students - 39 of which were visitors from Ireland, Spain, India, Brazil, USA, and every Polytechnic west of Sarnia!
Participants were tested by six challenges involving analyzers, device maintenance, distributed control systems, loop tuning, MacGyver and SCADAPack, enjoyed three Lunch & Learn opportunities (including a tour of the Cenovus Energy Centre), and experienced the Canadian Rockies with a trip to Banff!
Congratulations to our gold medal winners and recipients of the Golden Transmitter SMART Trophy: Levi Lenius (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology), Harsh Pandit (Mukesh Patel School of Technology, Management and Engineering), Luc Winterholt (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology), and Fran Sevilla (ISA-Sección Española).
