Managers & Directors from end-user Process Automation companies in YYC gathered on March 22, 2023 for the second ISA Calgary Section Industry Advisory Council Roundtable.
The luncheon was held at Calgary's prestigious Petroleum Club, courtesy of our Section, and organized by Sarmad, Ali, 2022-2023 ISA Calgary Section Treasurer.
What was discussed?
ISA Standards update, survey summary for the first 2022 IAC Roundtable, responses by the participating industry leaders, overview of ISA certifications, Automation Project Management Certification, benefits of ISA credentials, ISA Cybersecurity Certification and related courses, and ISA/InTech publications.
What was the biggest take-away from this event?
Alberta's industry leaders are keen to see what value ISA can bring for their organizations. There is sincere interest in the industry to improve peoples skills and capabilities, to help them achieve their best performance.
What action item(s) will be implemented?
ISA Calgary Section will be contacting the participants to schedule presentations for ISA offerings in their respective organizations, such as Lunch & Learns. ISA Calgary Section will schedule the third IAC Roundtable in Fall 2023, this time focused on EPCs and System Integrators.
